We are experts

The Therapy Collective is a boutique Occupational Therapy practice led by Amy Vincent, a clinically experienced, expert Occupational Therapist. Underpinning everything we do is our professional responsibility to remain objective and to provide relevant, evidence-based opinion.

We are experts with compassion

We do our job with compassion and enjoy getting to know people and learning about their lives, so we can better understand them as individuals. By not defining people by their human function we gain a deeper understanding about their individual life. When we evaluate their human function and what it means to their life, the result is a more thorough and accurate opinion on the matter presented to us.

We are experts in Human Function

Everyone can be placed at a point on a continuum of human function from no disability to total permanent disability. At some point in our lives, almost everyone will experience a temporary or permanent shift in their human function due to emerging health problems, injury, physical or mental illness and general effects of ageing. At the core of what we do, we are experts in understanding human function and the needs of a person over time as they move through the continuum and we apply this expertise with what we learn about a person’s individual circumstances and life to inform our relevant, evidence-based expert opinion.

We are experts in Assistive Technology

As a someone’s human function changes, there are tools, equipment and devices they can use to help them overcome limitations and adapt to improve their quality of life and independence. Amy Vincent has handpicked our range of Assistive Technology and we offer trials for customers and their treating healthcare professionals so they can experience our range for themselves.

We stand up for what we believe in

We want to play our part to shift the dial towards a more inclusive society for people with disability by starting conversations and raising awareness around diversity in human function. We look forward to the day when Assistive Technology is more mainstream so people with diversity in human function can participate in activities without societal barriers.
